Handley Page Halifax.

This aircraft, Halifax Mk V, DG409, MA-W, crashed on take off from Tempsford. The port inner engine failed on take off whilst air testing the aircraft. Then the propellor came off, and the aircraft veered off the runway and hit an anti-aircraft emplacement which resulted in the collapse of the undercarriage, and the aircraft was written off.

The crew do not seem to have been injured.
